• BarreKirsten is a movement specialist with over eight years of experience in mindful movement. She guides individuals toward embodied well-being through an integrative approach that combines clinical Pilates, somatic movement, breathwork, and functional strength training.
Her work weaves together structural movement, nervous system regulation, and somatic awareness to help clients build strength, resilience, and a deeper connection to their bodies - creating results that last both physically and emotionally.
Kirsten’s own experience living with Hashimoto’s shaped her understanding of how functional movement and holistic health can restore balance. This perspective now informs the way she supports clients navigating stress, hormonal shifts, injury recovery, and life transitions.
Grounded in compassion, curiosity, and connection, Kirsten creates a space where people can move intelligently, rebalance their system, and feel deeply at home in their bodies.
Philosophy
Movement is more than exercise ~ it is a dialogue between the body, the mind, and the nervous system.
I guide clients to move with awareness, build functional strength, and restore balance through an integration of evidence-based training and somatic practice.
Whether you are recovering from stress or burnout, navigating hormonal changes, or seeking a deeper connection to your body, this work supports you in developing strength, resilience, and lasting well-being.
Who This Is For
This work is for those who want to develop a deeper, more connected relationship with their bodies.
It may resonate with you if you:
• Want to build strength that supports long-term health
• Feel disconnected from your body and want to rebuild trust in how you move
• Prefer a mindful, personalised approach to training that integrates body, breath, and awareness
• Valueeducation, embodiment, and understanding your body as part of your wellness journey
This approach supports:
hormonal health, joint stability, nervous system regulation, and metabolic resilience.
The Core Elements
Presence Practice
Nervous system regulation and embodied awareness
Learn to move from awareness rather than autopilot.
Through breath work, sensory feedback, and slow mindful movement, you begin to feel before you perform, cultivating clarity, coordination, and calm.
Practices such as somatic movement, meditation, and breath-based training support parasympathetic activation and help regulate the stress response while restoring balance within the nervous system.
This work supports healthier cortisol rhythms, improved heart rate variability (HRV), and greater resilience to stress.
Resilience Practice
Functional strength and metabolism
Build functional strength with intelligent programming that honours your body’s physiology.
Through resistance training and dynamic movement you develop muscular strength, bone density, and metabolic resilience.
Strength work supports hormonal balance, improves insulin sensitivity, and stimulates signalling molecules known as myokines that positively influence inflammation and metabolic health.
Paired with mindful pacing and breath awareness, this approach builds strength that is both powerful and sustainable.

Working with Kirsten for the past few years has been a true pleasure and a transformative experience. From our very first session, I was drawn to her incredibly calm energy and a focused, intuitive approach that immediately put me at ease.
Kirsten is an exceptionally knowledgeable and professional coach. She has a remarkable ability to tune into each person she works with, whether it's in a private session or a group class. She's not just teaching movements; she's looking at the entire body and how it functions as a whole. Her holistic approach, combined with her own personal health journey, gives her a wealth of knowledge to share.

I cannot recommend Kirsten highly enough, especially for anyone recovering from a challenging injury. After my knee injury, I was nervous about regaining full strength and mobility, and standard physical therapy felt limited. When we started training, I immediately saw her passion for what she does and how good she is at it.
Kirsten immediately impressed me with her holistic and thoughtful approach. She didn't just focus on the injury itself but created a comprehensive training plan that included a crucial mix of exercises, including Pilates, specialised strength training, and mobility work. This variety kept me engaged and ensured every part of my recovery was addressed safely and effectively.
Thanks to her expertise and unwavering support, I not only recovered but came back stronger than I was before the injury. I am now back to all my normal activities without pain or hesitation. If you need a knowledgeable, patient, and truly exceptional trainer to guide you through recovery, Kirsten is the absolute best choice.

Kirsten is the most wonderful, calm, encouraging and nurturing trainer. Her deep knowledge and expertise in understanding how the body works and how to create a bespoke smooth flowing routine based on her client’s needs. Her holistic approach can focus on building strength and muscle to ensuring alignment through stretching - or both. It is rare to have someone so attuned to her client’s requirements and happy to create something new each time.
